Noise complaint

Ground noise from Newcastle Airport is one of the "down sides" of living in Prestwick. Engine testing is usually the worst and if residents feel they are disturbed they should complain to keep downward pressure on the Airport management.

Easter Monday between 16.30 Hrs and 18.00hrs saw one of the first warm days of 2015 spoiled by noise from Engine testing.

Prestwick Miner complained - did you? Strength in numbers. It is easy. Email ...... noise@newcastleinternational.co.uk

Armstrong's Effluent Disposal Limited is a family run organisation of over 40 years based in Prestwick. With over 50 years experience in waste management they are reliable, professional and are renowned for our service and industry knowledge. Specialising in the safe removal and disposal of sewage from septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspools and interceptors. Covering the North East of England they aim to complete urgent job requests within a 24 hour period and are contactable 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Mel Armstrong was never afraid of a bit of dirt!
Peter Melvin Armstrong (Mel) founded the company in 1970. After gaining experience with another waste management company whom are no longer operating. Over the years he built a strong customer base and the company grew in strength. In 2005 John Robson was appointed as Operations Manager for the company and his daughter Catherine took over administration. Sadly in 2010 the founder, Mel Armstrong passed away and his wife Eileen Armstrong handed control of the company to their daughter Catherine and son-in-law John Robson.

Potholes reported

Prestwick miner has reported potholes on the corner at Prestwick Hall farm cottages (I refuse to call them roadside cottages)

Does no one else using the road think of reporting them. It always seems to be me that has to get action! Where is our local Councillors - We have two living in Prestwick and many others using the road.

Perhaps it is something Prestwick Residents Association could raise with our Councillors - no doubt they will be wanting residents votes soon.
